Corrupt Forecast 5 Recovery

If you are receiving an error when trying to open a forecast, you can attempt to recover it using the steps below:


  • Get client to email the file after exporting it


  • Import the file to your Forecast 5


  • Start a new consolidation


  • Link to the imported forecast


  • Export the file list


  • Import the file list to a “New Forecast”


  • Save and Export that forecast and email back to client.


This allowed me to recover the basic structure and values entered in a forecast.


Using the Backup Manager

1) Log into Sage 50 Accounts as the administrator/manager

2) Go to File > Schedule Backup

3) From the settings tab, you are able to schedule your backups and where to store them.

4) You can also view backups taken, check data results and the users currently logged in.


Evolution 7 Error: "qryARAccounts: Field ‘ubARF5mailer’ not found"

This error can occur when a User creates a User Defined Field (UDF) within the Customer section of Accounts Receivable and then deletes it.

The next time a user attempts to edit a customer record they will receive the following error message:



This error is caused because Evolution thinks the UDF is still active. While the created field may not appear in Evolution it still resides in the SQL tables.


To resolve this error:


1. Take a Backup

2. Delete the field from _rtblUserDict table in SQL

3. Check if the error persists


Alternativly you could make a copy of the company.

Install A New Copy

A typical installation of Sage 50 Accounts should take no more than ten minutes.


Before you start

Before you install Sage 50 Accounts it's essential to check that your computer meets the recommended system requirements.

If you intend to use Sage 50 Accounts in a network environment and the data will be held on a server, you must ensure you have access to this server before installing the new software. If your IT support is handled by a third party you may need to contact them to make any necessary arrangements.




Upgrade your current version



  • Check data and back up

If you are upgrading your software from a previous version, you should check your data and take a backup first.

  • Check your installation path

Before you upgrade, to guarantee that your new software installs to the correct location, you must know where your existing version was installed to. In Sage 50 Accounts, to find this information:
